The Team
TEDxZurich International School is entirely student-led. Every part of this event, from curation and stage design to logistics, communications, and video production, is run by students at ZIS. We are a team of more than thirty people.
Core Organizers
Leo Bartu-Hong
Executive Organizer
Leo holds the TED license for TEDxZurich International School and oversees finance, video strategy, and event logistics. He runs the school’s National Honour Society chapter, co-leads the MUN Club, has key roles in Student Council, and founded the Systems Leadership Club. He is a Villars Institute Fellow and has been producing live events since he was nine.
Willy Wiedmann
Executive Producer
Willy leads stage design, stage management, speaker content, and external correspondence. He's Vice President of the Barefoot Club, supporting children in Colombia, and a certified ski instructor in St. Moritz. A Villars Institute Fellow, he brings that same hands-on leadership to running the production side of TEDxZurich International School.
Alice Cash
Head Curator
Alice is responsible for all speaker sourcing, application review, and speaker coaching. She's a gold medalist at NESDA, a major European debate/ speaking competition, in original oratory, the discipline closest to giving a TEDx talk. She also leads ZISMUN, a three-day fully student-run international conference at ZIS, giving her real experience organizing and running a major event from the ground up.
Faculty Advisor
Karen Lurie
Faculty Advisor
Karen Lurie is the Faculty Advisor for TEDxZurich International School. TED requires that events organized by people under 18 have an adult advisor from the organizing institution.
